PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS
Cochrane Psychology Services offers psycho-educational assessments with children who may be experiencing challenges at school due to undiagnosed learning disabilities, attention problems, executive functioning difficulties, giftedness, and/or social-emotional issues.
Our goal with these comprehensive assessments is to understand a child’s unique profile of strengths and challenges, as well as to provide strategies and recommendations for support in order to improve a child's confidence in learning and academic achievement.

A psycho-educational assessment is an integrative process that includes:
- Clinical interview with parent(s) to gather relevant information, including academic and developmental history
- Direct observation and evaluation with the student (2-3 in-person testing sessions; 4-6 hours total)
- Completion of clinical rating scales by parent(s), teacher(s) and/or child
- Review of documents, including school report cards, Individualized Program Plans [IPP] and/or previous assessments by other professionals (i.e., occupational, speech-language reports)
- Comprehensive written report that integrates results of standardized tests/rating scales, background information gathered, clinical impressions, and specific recommendations to help support and advocate for your child
- Feedback meeting with parent(s) to discuss assessment results and share recommendations
